Sample program for your off-road expedition
The first day of your expedition starts with a full day off-road walk on routes around the village of Arbanassi. On this day, the focus is on the drivers acquiring the necessary skills to operate the respective machines. The routes around the village of Arbanassi are varied and there are some difficult terrains that will allow each of the drivers to practice their skills as much as possible and get used to the peculiarities of driving the machines well enough. The first day lasts about 7-8 hours, depending on the pace of driving and the areas visited. Many beautiful sights will be visited on the drive, as well as various monasteries in and around the village of Arbanassi. Lunch will be taken in a traditional tavern in the village of Arbanassi.
On the second day of your expedition the off-road walk will be to Emen Waterfall and Canyon, as well as Hotnik Waterfall and Preobrazhensky Monastery. On this day, the focus will be to visit some of the most beautiful sights around Veliko Tarnovo. The Emen Canyon and waterfall are some of the most picturesque in Bulgaria, and their beauty is especially stunning during the spring months. Hotnik Waterfall is also one of the most visited sights around Veliko Tarnovo, also captivating with its beauty. Preobrazhenska Monastery is one of the largest and most famous monasteries in Bulgaria, and is a must-see destination for most visitors to Veliko Tarnovo.
The off-road walk starts on an off-road route to Emen Falls and Canyon - the route there is easy and is mainly on flat terrain. You have between 1 and 2 hours of rest at the site, with the off-road route then heading to Hotnik Falls. Here again the terrain is gentle and part of the route is on a normal road. At Hotnik Falls you have a break of about 1 hour, and lunch is provided here. In the second part of the day the emphasis shifts to off-road driving and is almost entirely driven on off-road routes, which are interesting and varied. On the way home from Hotnitsa Falls, the Transfiguration Monastery can be visited by normal road, if you wish.
On the third day of your expedition, the focus will be on the more varied and interesting off-road terrain around the Kereka Hills and the areas around the Kepinov Waterfall. On this day the walk starts with an off-road route to the Kupinov Monastery and waterfall. The terrain to get there is varied, passing through many wooded areas including streams and rivers. Most of the terrain is of medium level of difficulty, with sections where the terrain is also of high level of difficulty. At the Kupinov Monastery and Waterfall you have between 1 and 2 hours rest, with lunch provided at the site. You then head to the Kereka area where the off-road route continues, and you can also pass through the Plakov Monastery. The Kereka locality is a hilly area where the terrain is interesting and includes various more difficult off-road crossings.
On the fourth day of your expedition the off-road walk will be to the Dryanovo Monastery and the Bacho Kiro Cave. In this walk the route is again varied as it passes through a series of hilly and wooded areas on the way to both destinations. In the first part of the off-road walk, the route passes through the picturesque village of Yalovo, where a wine tasting at Yalovo Wine Cellar could be added. After arriving at both destinations, a break of about 2 hours is provided, which includes time for lunch. After that, it's back to our base in the village of Arbanassi. The terrain on this ride is of medium difficulty, with some more off-road terrain and higher difficulty.
There are more options for off-road rides to other sights around Veliko Tarnovo, such as Etara, Bozhentsi, Tryavna, as well as Shipka and Buzludzha.
Each of the above itineraries is indicative and may vary according to the level of preparedness of the clients as well as other factors such as weather conditions and other external events beyond the control of HillVille Veliko Tarnovo. In each of the walks there is also a part of the route that passes on the Republican road network as well as on a normal inter-rural road. The majority of the route takes place on off-road terrain.
Each of the routes has an approximate length of between 70km and 90km, depending on the designated areas to be visited and the pace of the walk.
Any of the rides can be conducted with any of our machines with a valid registration of your choice.
