In the walks lasting 4 hours you could visit the following locations according to your preferences:
- Walk to Shipka and the Buzludzha Monument
The monuments of Shipka and Buzludzha are among the most famous and popular tourist destinations in Bulgaria. A walk to Shipka and the other landmarks takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes, taking a scenic mountain road. At the historic Shipka Freedom Monument, about 30 minutes are allotted to visit and climb up to its top, from where a stunning panoramic view can be seen. After the visit to "Shipka" we head to the Buzludzha Monument - the largest ideological monument of the communist regime in Bulgaria. Here again about 30 minutes are provided for a break, during which you can have a look and get acquainted with one of the symbols of Bulgaria's recent socialist past.
- Ethnographic complex Etara and Bozhentsi
In this walk you have the opportunity to visit the Dryanovo Monastery "St. Michael the Archangel", the Bacho Kiro Cave, the Ethnographic Open Air Museum "Etar", and the Sokol Monastery "Assumption of the Virgin Mary".
The tour begins with a visit to the Dryanovo Monastery, situated in the picturesque gorge of the Dryanovo River, with the Bacho Kiro Cave in the immediate vicinity. It is one of the diamonds in the cave necklace of Bulgaria. A break of about 1 hour is provided in this area, for a walk and a visit to both sights.
Then we head to "Etara", where the spirit of Bulgaria and its traditions are transported through time and space so that every guest can experience them. Again you have about 1 hour break to visit the museum. Depending on the time remaining, you also have the opportunity to visit the Sokol Monastery with its amazing landscape view.
- Krushun Falls
Krushuna waterfalls are one of the most beautiful and charming waterfalls in Bulgaria and a preferred destination for many tourists. The trip to the waterfalls takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. A break of about 1 hour is provided at the site to walk along the nearby eco-trails revealing the charming natural beauty around the falls.
